Bonnie Stiernberg is an award-winning writer and editor based in New York City.
A graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s journalism program, she began her career covering music in Chicago before moving to Atlanta to join Paste Magazine, where she eventually served as both Music Editor and TV Editor.
Her work has appeared in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Glamour, GRAMMY.com, Vice, No Depression, The Bluegrass Situation and more. Over the course of her career, she has interviewed artists and actors including Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello, Robbie Robertson, Carrie Brownstein, Alice Cooper and John Slattery, and written cover stories on Father John Misty, Wilco and The Flaming Lips. She joined InsideHook in 2019, where she served as Managing Editor while continuing to cover pop culture, music and television.
In 2025, she won a National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award from the Los Angeles Press Club for a profile of Michael Ian Black and was also recognized as runner-up for Online Journalist of the Year. Her piece "The Great Pop Star Realignment" won third place in Music Commentary, and she was a finalist in the TV Critic category.
She is also a craft beer enthusiast and long-suffering Chicago Cubs fan.
